Sept 19: Hydrobee Appoints Manufacturing Broker
Hydrobee SPC has contracted Infinitum Humanitarian Systems as broker for manufacturing partnerships in northern Mexico in Tijuana and Tecate. This region of “maquiladora” contract manufacturers supplies the Americas and the world with many products for electronics, aerospace, automotive, power tools and more. IHS has extensive projects with humanitarian technologies in Mexico. Mexico has a large middle class that enjoys camping and off-grid adventure, and over 5 million poor people living without electricity in 74,000 villages. Hydrobee’s new partners in Mexico are excited to bring our technology to their country.
Sept 16: Hydrobee Accepted into FLEDGE Accelerator
Hydrobee SPC has been accepted into the exclusive FLEDGE Accelerator at ImpactHub Seattle. The team and 5 other startups will receive 10 intensive weeks of training, mentoring, business plan assistance and help in “pitching” their new companies. They also receive a $12,000 investment from the FLEDGE LLC.
Sept 12: Hydrobee Named as Semi-Finalist in Seattle Angel Conference
The Seattle Angel Conference is a recurring Seattle Angel Investor-driven event where the investors create an LLC, engage in due diligence of the applying startup companies, and ultimately pool funds to invest in one of the presenting finalists. SVP Fast Pitch Seattle (formerly known as SIFP) is a fast-pitch granting and investment forum highlighting New Ideas for Social Impact, presented by Social Venture Partners Seattle. Nonprofits and for-profits compete for over $250,000 in funding and the opportunity to present cutting-edge ideas to as many as 1,000 of the most engaged social impact leaders, philanthropists, and investors around Seattle. July 20: Hydrobee becomes an AutoDesk Clean Tech Partner
Autodesk produces great software for mechanical and other design work. They grant their software to Clean Tech companies. Their software includes the Eco Materials Adviser which helps designers understand the environmental impacts of the materials they choose. Hydrobee is designing its products with Autodesk software.
