At FLEDGE and Impact Hub Seattle
Hydrobee was a member of the FLEDGE start-up incubator in Seattle from September to November 2013. The program helps conscious companies develop their business models and find support.
Prior to FLEDGE, the Hydrobee team spent the summer of 2013 in Seattle in KICK, “the inclusive incubator“. KICK is an 8-week accelerator for entrepreneurs who have an idea and who need to create their first business model for it. KICK ensures that all its participants will change their idea and business model for the better!
Hydrobee and FLEDGE are located in Impact Hub Seattle. This is a co-working space, events space, and launch pad for purpose-driven ventures that create more value than they capture with hundreds of members, most of whom are entrepreneurs with social missions, and a number of non-profit organizations and consulting firms. There are also two big members, the Bainbridge Graduate Institute (an accredited Sustainable MBA program) and Social Venture Partners (making grants to non-profit groups around the world). Impact Hub Seattle is a member of a global network of Impact Hubs.
On April 16, 2014 Hydrobee was the winner of the national Business for Good contest of the Social Enterprise Alliance. Over 200 companies applied to the contest. Final votes were done by both judges and an audience of over 400 people. We won over $25,000 in cash and services, including accelerator services from the Nashville Entrepreneur Center Accelerator team, PR from Proof Branding, legal services from Adler Colvin, email marketing from MyEmma, and strategy and networking help from Social Enterprise Associates.
